3 out of 5 stars too wordy, repeated instructions   January 8, 2007

Overall, the book is ok... but it's too "wordy"... Things that can explain in one sentence take the whole paragraph. The instructions on how to create new file and setting working directory are repeated like 10 times. You will be able to learn basic feathers of Pro/E with this book if you're willing to spend the time.

Although diagrams and figures are provides, most of them are the finish product (maybe without finalize dimensions), which doesn't really help much. Although the book is like 800 pages, the contents would fit perfectly into something like a 300 pages book if the author spend time integrating the methods. For example, instead of spend 30 pages on sketching and another 30 pg on extruding and revolving, he can probably combine both into 20 pages without any compromise on the reader side.

Even though I've been holding off from writing the review because I want to resell the book.... but.... who cares
