Inside WF review May 27, 2008 Douglas Brummett (Huntsville, AL USA) Pretty much as advertised. This manual is helpful for the beginner, but a current user will end up finding it a bit slim on real world applications. It is not as thorough as a real user guide.

I learnt Wildfire from this book and for my needs it was a godsend. It is true that the explanations are very concise; maybe too much so. That's how they manage to cover so much material in less than 500 pages. You have to think for yourself and you don't get bored. So much better than lengthy drivel. I was able to get all the functions working; albeit with some trail and error, but no time wasted. Congratulations to the authors. Am looking forward to an advanced tutorial from the same people to cover the rest (animation, autoBOM, analisis etc). OK maybe it's not for beginners. Some previous experience with solid modeling does help; although you can just get by without.

How you can fill a book with nice illustrations and some serious looking text and not being able to learn out anything. This book just confuses and gives pro/E a bad rap. If you can't do anything before buying this book you will for sure not be able after. Refund is you're first thought after reading this book. Buy pro/E wildfire for Designers and learn how to use the program instead!
This book is a flop. July 18, 2003 Hoang Nguyen (Millbrae, CA United States) 1 out of 10 found this review helpful
This book bites! Instructions and steps are vague.
