Cool stuff November 12, 2009 John D. Thomas (florida) Kindle is great for this stuff. I found "The Music Producers and Engineers Bible" on Kindle also. Amazing reference guides for production and making records.
Excellent Teacher October 16, 2009 David B. Kopp (Pasadena, ÇA USA) This book gave me exactly the introduction to mixing I was hoping for. Great examples and eye-opening (ear-opening?) interviews with industry legends gave me instant experience and a thin but solid knowledge base from which to draw. Every beginning mixer - heck, ever producer should read this.

outstanding audio book October 14, 2009 Chris E. Navarro (Florida) Owsinski does a great job providing useful mixing info from his own background as well as that from notable engineers. He covers a lot of bases in this book that opened up my eyes or rather, ears. The best part is the dialogue from all the notable engineers he interviewed and how they would approach different mix issues. Looking at their backgrounds can give some insight to why they may make certain mixing decisions/suggestions. Must have book.
Very Useful August 1, 2009 Warren Bowery (NW Ohio, USA) This book has a lot of the great information that will help you get a higher quality mix. Lot's of invaluable tips and charts, and as a bonus a section of interviews with the biggest names in the business as to how each approaches mixing. You can spend months searching through internet forums looking for answers to your questions, or you can just read this book.
Skip it. Too much filler, not enough substance. July 14, 2009 slox (san jose, ca) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
A few good tidbits scattered here and there, but this book was generally extremely light on substance. Primarily just a bunch of filler material and quotes. A more appropriate title should have been "Interviews with Mixing Engineers", edited by B. Owsinski. There are much better books out there on mixing and mastering.
