I looked at a few helments before purchasing this one, but alot of them were high dollar helments offering the same features. You dont need to be fancy to get the job done! This one offers great features with a price everyone can afford. I also recommend purchasing extra cover lenses at the same time if you are going to use it for everyday welding like i do. I highly recommend it!

For the money you can't get a much better helmet. I love the way it works and that fact that you need no batteries. The auto darkening lets me see were I'm about to weld and then when the sparks start flying I can see with no problem. This helmet is worth every penny.

This was my first Auto Darkening Helmet so I have nothing to gauge performance by. What I can say is the helmet works very well, I am pleased with its performance. It is comfortable to wear, and weld with providing a good view of the weld, while protecting.
