| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Popular among both novice and experienced AutoCAD users, this comprehensive book begins with an overview of the basics of AutoCAD, such as creating drawings, using commands, and specifying coordinates. Coverage becomes more in-depth as each chapter builds off the previous one, with discussions of 2D and 3D drawing techniques, using layers, creating dimensions, 3D coordinates, and rendering. Youll learn to customize commands and toolbars; program AutoCAD using AutoLISP and VBA; and review AutoCAD LT. A "Quick Start" will have beginners creating a CAD drawing on their first day. The accompanying CD-ROM provides before-and-after real-world drawings, bonus appendices, freeware and shareware programs, the book in searchable PDF format, and a 30-day trial version of AutoCAD software.

excellent helper! June 18, 2008 quickscaddraw (cleve,oh) Text answered all my questions and more. Beginner or expert, the book is easily read and understood. CD tutorials are great.
Great Book May 21, 2007 D. A. Brongel (Spring Valley IL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just started to go through this book and it is amazing how easy it is to use. I'm just getting into CAD 2007 in college and this book is helping me to get extra practice of the ins and outs of CAD 2007. I showed this book to my teacher and she is going to buy a copy she said it is a great learing tool and refference book.
Bible is Good Title May 13, 2007 Richard N. Tinker (Florida) Well written, thorough, well organized. Easy to learn from and easy to access for reference. Everything it said it would be.
Good as a first book period. April 26, 2007 J. Kriek (Dallas, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book will be informative for the beginner and a great reference for the intermediate. Do NOT buy this book if you have ever been formally trained in AutoCAD or have read any real books - just more of the SOS.
good reference April 2, 2007 ken (las vegas, nv United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
a good reference for experienced users. Of course Autocad is so diverse there is not such a thing as a complete reference. but this is one of two that I keep at hand all the time.
