| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description "PONTIAC SERVICE" Pontiac was introduced as a lower-priced model by the Oakland division of General Motors in 1926. The new car sold like blazes until the Great Depression hit. By 1930, Pontiac sales had fallen sharply, and Oakland was in even worse shape. By 1932, the higher priced Oakland was dropped. In 1934 Harry Klingler, the super-salesman who had made Chevrolet number one, became general manager of Pontiac. Klingler turned things around, and by 1941 Pontiac was fifth in production. On February 10, 1942, Pontiac became the first company to stop making cars and convert to war production
Drop ship direct from manufacturer to customer via commercial truck carrier, boxed in a wooden crate.
