2 out of 5 stars dissapointing   November 3, 2009
GreyDX (Medford, Or United States)
I was hoping for more basic diagrams. The whole book only had a couple. I wanted a basic charging circuit, a basic ignition circuit etc. The examples from Pinto and VW didn't tell me what I wanted to know. Also I should have checked, but this book is 23 years old, so no info on things like air/fuel gauges that weren't available then.
Lots of stuff on electrical principals if you need that, but very weak on practical applications.

5 out of 5 stars An excellant primer for anyone working on the electical system of a car.   September 28, 2009
Jeffrey D. Herriman (San Diego,, CA USA)
This book is extremly well written. The explainations are simple and correct. I have begun to understand the logic of electrical circuits and their design purpose. The book has helped me modify my project car to suit my purposes without damaging the car itself! Not easy to do these days.

4 out of 5 stars Does what is says   June 14, 2008
Mr. Robert Matthew Bowers (Gold Coast Austalia)
Basic book on electronics for cars. It's okay and on par with the one titled "Electrickory" (which is a touch disappointing considering the tittle).

5 out of 5 stars yea, electrical info it's in there...   August 31, 2006

tell you what if you wanna learn about electricity not just automotive but electricity in general this is your book. It helps to lay a great foundation. I already knew this stuff but it was a great refresher, as well as a excellent info source for automotive applications. I truely feel this was money well spent.

4 out of 5 stars Dont hurry   September 23, 2005

I bought this book in 2004, I expected a quick fix for my electrical ignorance but I didnt get it. I reread the book a while later and actually paid attention then. I finally got it, if this book has a major flaw it is that it doesnt point out key things about electrical systems very well. Trust me when I say that this book delivers the goods. This is not a perfect book but it is the best diy electrical harness book out there. I have most if not all the books available here and this one is the most useful for diy wiring.
