Great book for Boys, Girls, & Adults January 20, 2010

This is a great book! Long out of print, the used version I received was in good shape, just as described.
The contents of the book are superb. Basic principles of electric motors, steam engines & turbines, waterwheels, etc. are explained simply yet accurately. It gives just the right amount of detail for projects to build working models - with a little skill and effort. I'd recommend this for anybody who has kids - it will teach them a lot. I would like to see it reprinted - just as is, with all the attitude of the '40's intact.
