I'm a big fan of hardcover editions (less likely to get mulged or torn up in the shop), so I prefer the bound edition. The manual (like all of Hayne's product) is explicit, complete, and easy to follow. I purchased the book more for reference than anything else, but still found a couple of "better ways to do that" items that will make wrenching on my '98 R 1100R much easier. Highly recommended purchase for anyone looking to start maintaining their own ride.

This is a fine book but I think there are some issues. I referanced OIL COOLER and tried to turn to the index page and it just isn't there. I bought the BMW manual on disc and I find it VERY helpfull. It doesn't offer hand holding of the Haynes . But between the two and stuff people posted on the net I can tacle any job. J.Michael

Good basic information with many specifics for all models listed. Would like better pictures and specifics for some items, but all in all gives a good source to many of the details of the motorcycle given. Also, would have preferred different models broken up differently in book, but perhaps some of the information would have been repeated. I bought it for information more than to use to do my own work so it has served me well as one source of access.

Very nice repair, maintenance manual that has helped many times. Not ALL-comprehensive, but really nice reference to have around. I use it mostly for torque values reference, but it has nice pictures as a guide and the text referencing to photos is great.

Excellent book,nice pictures. Not as detailed or complicated as Clymers. A must for a do it your-selfer to maintain your bike and avoid expensive dealerships.
