Product Description
As popular as the Triumph Twins were in the 60s and 70s, they are quite possibly more popular now. The new book from Wolfgang Publications offers complete start-to-finish assembly and restoration sequences on two Triumph Twins, a 1963 Bonneville and a 1969 Bonniville. Also included is the start-to-finish assembly of the 1969 engine and transmission. Rather than try to describe the miniscule differences that often separated one year from another, this book offers a color gallery with left and right side views of all significant models from 1959 to 1983. With over 450 color photos, How To Restore Your Triumph offers 144 pages of hard-core how-to help for anyone who wants to repair or restore their own Triumph twin. | Customer Reviews: Triumph Motorcycle Restoration: Remus and Chitwood November 14, 2009 Ian G. Robinson This book will augment but not replace the workshop manual for a '68 T100 restoration I am planning. It is basically a step-by-step photographic journal of a restoration performed by professionals, and is not intended to be an engineering reference. I was initially a little disappointed with the content but now that I also have the original Triumph workshop manual I believe this book will provide some practical hints and tips that the Triumph manual would not give me.
Must-Have Book for British Motorcycle Afficionados April 9, 2009 Steven J. Karp (Funville, CT, USofA) This book is a great companion to the Clymer or Hayes shop manuals. The photos are bright and clear and in color, unlike a lot of the b&w photos in the manuals. Explanations of procedures and parts are decent, but not super in-depth or technical. Reasonably priced and very practical- you'll probably want two of these books: one for your shelf, and one for your shop or garage to get grease and grime all over the pages. The book also has a decent section on identifying & differentiating the 'classic' years of T120's and TR6's.
You'll want to read it through a few times, because the photos don't always seem to follow the logical order of the procedures they're illustrating; a few sections are numbered sequentially and this is very helpful.

I am a bit of a Triumph nut and have most of the books written on the subject. This" Restoration" book has quite a few nice pictures but is of no practical value regarding restoring a Triumph.I'll keep it for my collection but wont be refering to it.Get Hughie Hancock's video and the Hayne's manual along with a repro factory manual and you're set!!
