| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The publication of this book co-incides with the 3 SeriesÂ’ 21st anniversary. Produced from 1984-91 its popularity and status is maybe due to the longevity of its design, its ability to satisfy the keen driver or its iconic status but, whatever it is, there is no doubt that the E30 is one car from the past that will stay with us into the future. Focusing on the common faults which crop up repeatedly and giving detailed, simple instructions regarding repairs, this book is uniquely invaluable for owners who wish to try their hand at their own maintenance, especially those who may previously have been prevented from doing so by a lack of technical know-how or specific knowledge.

Interesting....Not essential October 12, 2009 bjm (San Salvador, El Salvador) The book is all right, and I give it 3 stars. Long-term owners of an E30, or several E30s would probably benefit by having this book alongside the Bentley. It is no substitute, but the moderate price makes it worth buying and reading for any of the nuggets you can mine from it.
E30 Essential Reading August 23, 2009 Land of Franks (Franconia, PA) Excellent book! This book is an absolute must for anyone owning a BMW E30. Not just for restoration, it helps understand normal ownership issues. I currently own three E30's and just wish I would have bought this book sooner. Worth every penny!
E30 Restoration Bible March 12, 2009 C. Burris Great book. Written by an English person and also a European perspective. This is the information you need if you are looking for hard facts about the E30 chassis. It was a great help in preparing and during my restoration.
Useful for restoration, not a must have. June 7, 2008 N. Blough (Los Angeles, Ca. USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Has more than a few tidbits to help out with your older BMW. Has too many models to cover to make it a must have. You can read what is useful to your model in an afternoon. Hit your local library first.
Must have for E30 fans March 9, 2008 Cheap-n-Easy (Triad, NC) Breat book with many tips and tricks you will not find anywhere else. If you are restoring one of these, it will pay for itself times over again. Only caveat: it was written by a british author and therefore refers to the GB models and therefore is somewhat overloaded with info about models that were never sold here. It also misses some US model info, e.g. 4:10 rear axle ratio that was used here for 325ia cars.
