Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Part of the acclaimed Original series, Original BMW Air-Cooled Boxer Twins presents BMW's most famous motorcycles in exquisite detail. The book focuses on the post-1969 /5 and newer series, paying particular attention to such groundbreaking models as the R75/5, the R90S, the R100RS, and the R80G/S. The book also covers the earlier models in a chapter focusing on the Earles fork machines.

This is another BMW book I purchased for my husband. He has said time and time again that this is another great book for his collection of BMW books with information that is always helpful and great pictures.

1 out of 5 stars JUST ANOTHER PICTURE BOOK; NOT A "RESTORER'S GUIDE".   November 13, 2006

If you are looking for a book full of nice photos of other peoples bikes; then this is it.
If you are looking for infomation on how to restore your own bike; then forget it.
A totaly useless book unless you're one of those BMW dorks who want to babble on
about when the first mono shock was introduced.
A complete waste of money!

For a BMW airhead enthusiast this is an excellent book. The photography is first class and very useful for any would be restorer. The information provided on the development of the airheads, model by model is both interresting and informative. I particularly like the chapter "Living with an Air-Cooled Boker Twin"

This is the bible for BMW air cooled boxer twin owners. I was blown away by the photos and the extraordinary detail of the text. I have got to go, I am working in the garage! Buy it!
