good all around book December 6, 2008 Barney Fife I have a chinese scooter of which this book contains almost nothing. However, the repairs to it are very similar to the ones in the book as most chinese scooters are copies of popular existing brands-which this book covers in detail. So if you are mechanically inclined already, this book offers a lot of information.
Haynes Techbook Scooters November 29, 2008 Mark A. Reich Great book for mechanically inclined. Does a good job of generalizing on whatyou might see on many of the lower end scooters.
ok November 12, 2008 Sergejus Simonenkovas (miami, usa) honestly, i wish it was better, but unfortunately this is the best book on the market:(
Nice text, crappy pictures October 3, 2008 Michael Hojnowski (Ithaca, New York) I like the technical written content of this book. It has a lot of practical tips and information on maintaining a scooter. Unfortunately, the black and white pictures are grainy and dark. That, coupled with the cheap materials used for this paperback book make them darn near unusable. I would say I could really make out the detail in only about 2/3 of the pictures. On many, I had no idea what I was looking at. Still, this is a useful volume which I'm sure will help me, as I work on my own scooter.
Haynes Service Manual September 6, 2008 Robert G. Flanagan (Atlanta, Ga. 30337) This book is essential for the person attempting to maintain or repair their own scooter. When used in conjunction with "The Scooter Book" also by Haynes, these two books are pretty much all that one needs when maintaining and repairing their own scooter. To me not as readable as "The Scooter Book", it is still essential to own as it contains the more technical aspects of servicing your scooter. It is a must have for the scooter owner determined to do it themselves!
