I have read, in forum discussions, that this book is helpful for improved riding technique whether track or street. I saw no street application at all. And I don't think there was any profound information about riding on a track. This is a text book ment to be used when taking a beginner's racing course.
Keith Code - a must read for every biker June 27, 2009 Scott C. Mosher (Maumee, Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The subtitle says "motorcycle roadracers handbook" but this book is essential reading even if you never see the track. Keith gets to the fundamentals of what make motorcycles tick, and gives you the knowledge to become a master of the machine. Buy it, read it, review it regularly (and Volume II is every bit as good).

Full of tons on information. I re-read it from time to time and always get more out of the book. I have worked at the track while his school is being taught and it is always fun. Don't forget Volume II!

What can I say? I am probably the last to read this book. Highly recommended to anyone who currently rides or is considering riding sport bikes. Reading this allowed me to focus and note what I do while street riding. I don't go to the track but I ride street and this book gives good advice on both. I just started reading Vol. II and will say not a lot of repeated information, just more updated as Vol I is a must.
