5 out of 5 stars The best all-purpose motorcycle mag.   March 8, 2008

I've been reading Cycle World since 1977 and it's by far the best all-round motorcycle mag you can get. It covers every aspect of motorcycling, including sport bikes, dirt bikes, standards, cruisers, racing articles, top-notch technical articles by experts like Kevin Cameron, wonderful features and articles by Peter Egan (America's most beloved moto-journalist), op-ed pages, etc. It covers British, Italian, American, Japanese and German bikes alike, with detailed performance and technical data. Even the advertising is good. It's a fun read, from front to back. Cycle World is a high quality magazine, just like its sister publication for car lovers, Road & Track.

5 out of 5 stars A Good M/C Mag....   December 29, 2006

,,,at least according to my ol' mad. He reads it every month(then I read it...lol--gota be able to talk to the guy!) SO I got him a subscription for Christmas, since his ran out. He really likes his M/C mags. Keeps them filed in the bathroom. We met,27 years ago at a M/C political Action Meeting, and we are still riding together today. Will be till we are in our graves I am sure.

1 out of 5 stars Comic book grade motorcycle magazine   November 13, 2003

Years ago, Cycle World was a 1st class motorcycle publication
that assumed people were intelligent enough to work and modify their own bikes, and understand a myriad of technical articles
designed to enhance the enjoyment and understanding of the sport.

Now, the magazine(with the exception of the monthly technical
article by Cameron) just caters to the moronic instant gratification generation of which 90% are just posers raised with out the ability to reason their way out of a paper bag.

I am talking serious fluf...

5 out of 5 stars The best motorcycle magazine made in the USA   August 12, 2003

I've been reading motorcycle magazines for years and I find that Cycle World is consistently the best written. It is one of the few motorcycle magazines in the US that you can literally read from cover to cover. I really enjoy the fact that it is targeted at an adult audience - and it should be since the average age of their readers is around 40. That means that I don't have to wade through a bunch of prepubescent garbage to find out about this month's latest greatest bikes and that alone is worth the cover price.

This is a magazine that covers the entire spectrum of motorcycling. You can read articles about sport bikes, standards, cruisers, dirt bikes and even scooters. Cycle World offers really great Op-Ed pieces too, and that's what really sells this magazine.

One word of warning, if I was especially interested in only one kind of bike, or one aspect of motorcycling, I might prefer a specialty magazine. I'd still read Cycle World, however, just because it's nice to have a quality magazine about a sport I love that's a lot more than just pretty pictures.

2 out of 5 stars Unless youre devoted to sport bikes, keep looking   March 6, 2003

I have no interest in sport bikes though I understand the thrill for those who do. I subscribed to Cycle World because I understood it to be a premier motorcycle magazine. I won't renew my subscription. If you're looking for a magazine relating to sport bikes then Cycle World might be your magazine, if not, keep looking.
